I am researching the family of Buchanan JAMES of Wilson County.

Buchanan James was born in North Carolina c1790 and moved to Statesville,
TN about 1810. He married Margaret "Peggy" McMinn Lewis c1815 in TN.

They had 13 children:
Elizabeth Ann b7/5/1816 (married Dr. Sampson Knight)
Daniel b1818 (married Malinda Jennings)
Catharine b10/19/1819 (married William Adkins Jennings)
Samuel bc1820 (married Martha Gilliam)
Enoch Henry b6/1823 (married Eleanor Thomas)
Buchanan Jr. bc1824 (married Rachel Ayers)
Alvy (my ancestor) b5/2/1827 (married Lucinda Livicie Thomas)
Richmond bc1830 (married Amanda Price)
Leander bc1832, Martha bc1834 (married Dr. James Neily)
Jane bc1836 (married Dave Chambers)
Ellen Frances bc1839 (married John Tucker)
and Rufus bc1842.

Buchanan James, Sr. bought land in Warren County Tennessee on Jan. 16, 1832
from a William James of Warren County. Witnesses were Daniel James, James
James, and Lutha James. Buchanan James died c1858.

I am trying to determine who Buchanan James (Sr.)'s parents were and where
he was born in NC. My James family further extends through Alvy and Livicie
(Thomas) James, and their son Elmore "Burr" James, Sr. "Burr" James moved
from Statesville to Milton and Murfreesboro (Rutherford County) TN.
