Valerie:
Levi James maried Mary James in 1740 in Wales. They arrived at the port of
Wilmington, DE in 1745 and settled in Chester County, PA where Levi died in
1757. Joseph b. 1745 was the third child of Levi and Mary. Joseph married
Jane Woodward and came to Loudoun County, VA in 1757 and settled in the
Goose Creek Settlement. Their children were: Jesse, Levi, Joseph, Sarah,
Thomas W., Joseph 2nd, Jane, Prudence, and Elijah.
