I am still searching for information as to who "was" the father of Reuben James m. Jane Smith 10 Nov 1828 in Franklin Co., Virginia. Reuben's mother was Frances "Fannie, Faney" who was m. to a Hancock at the time of the marriage. Reuben had a sister, Frances. Reuben was b. 1810 according to census records. His mother Frances, stated on 1860 census she was b. in Maryland. This has been a long search, several years, and I am up against a brick wall. If you have "any information, leads, no matter how small" please I would appreciate hearing from you.
