Scottish OPRs show no Robert Jameson/Jamieson born in Kilmarnock in 1832. The only Robert Jameson born in 1832 was in Shetland.
But in the Kilmarnock OPR there is an interesting entry copied from a Family Bible as follows:
William Jamieson, Dyer, and Mary Becket, his wife had a first child, Robert Jamieson, born in Kilmarnock on 4 September 1833.
Also, second child Margaret Jamieson born in Kilmarnock 10 June 1835; Third child James Jamieson born in Kilmarnock 9 May 1838; and fourth child William Jamieson born in Kilmarnock 8 January 1840.

Could this be your Robert Jameson? The different spellings of Jameson/Jamieson are probably not very significant. So one question is how reliable is the 1832 birth date for your Robert Jameson?

In the meantime, I'll try to look for this family in the 1841 and 1851 census returns.
