Charles W. Jay,

My records starting with Benjamin Jay born August 22, 1797, Married to Phoebe Deitz. Benjamin was born in Philadelphia PA and died in Scranton PA. Benjamin's son was Alexander Nelson Jay b Jan 3, 1818 in Trenton NJ and married Amelia Colcher September 10, 1838. Alexander died in 1904 in Osceola Nebraska. His son was William Clifford Jay, his son was Cecil Ellsworth Jay, and his son was my father Clifford Clyde Jay. Does this line fit in with your research? My information indicates Benjamin's father to be Joseph but I have not substantiated that information at this time.
