Just a short note on the fun loving Jays and their dancing..My
greatgrandfather D.M. Jay loved to play the fiddle and dances were held at
his home in Jayton ,Texas. According to family story ,his daughter-in-law
complained ,said he was sinning etc. He picked her up bodily and set her out
on the front porch and locked the door, went back to dancing ,singing and
playing the fiddle with his friends. Most of the Jays that I know are as
independent as a Missouri mule and chose to go their own way in all matters.
