Although I haven't found the parents of this Abraham or Sally, I do have the
following information on him:
An early history of Rappahannock County, Virginia stated that the countys
first white

Virginia) and died there in 1832. He married Sarah (Sally) --. She was born
in Virginia
and died in Culpeper County, Virginia.
On Jan 30, 1800, the following was recorded in the Culpeper County,
Virginia Deed
Book V, page 404:

County of
Culpeper . . . for $40.00 . . . 12 acres more or less lying in the County of
Culpeper near
the Hot Mountain, bounded as follows. . . North side of Rocky Run and in a
line of Dr.
Frenches formerly Fitzhughs, running Southeast to a corner of said Lillard
and Reuben
Thornhill. . . thence Southwest to a forked chestnut corner to Alexander
Rider. . .
Witnesses, Timothy Jenkins, Timothy Sisk, William Smith.
In the 1810 census for Culpeper County, Virginia (Roll 68, page between
99 and 100,
page 48 in pencil), the Abraham Jenkins family consisted of two males under
10, one male
16-25, one male 45 or older, one female 26-44, and one female 45 or older.

1821 between
Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife in the County of Madison and State of
Virginia of the

the other
part.
Witnesseth that the said Dennis Corbin and Polly his wife for and in
consideration of
the sum of $80.00 to him in hand paid by the said Abraham Jenkins . . . a
certain parcel of
land supposed to contain fifteen acres more or less lying in the County
aforesaid and is
bounded as follows, to wit:
Beginning at a Chesnut and Chesnut oak, corner to a patent line formerly
granted to
Archibald Dick, running thence with the patent line South . . . degrees . . .

said
