Dear Mr. Carlin
& Jenkins Researchers:
I am quite curious about this particular line of Jenkins, as the majority of
my ancestors settled in New Braunfesl, and Seguin, Texas. I have a Sarah
Elizabeth JENKINS, born August 07, 1858 (in LA???) (1880 census has Sarah
born in LA, mother and father born in LA, however, I do not have any
information on Sarah's siblings, nor her parents' first names). Sarah
JENKINS married William Madison STANFORD on June 19, 1876 in Robertson
County, TX; she died November 23, 1915. Her parents are known by our family
as only "JENKINS - BASSETT". I do have a picture of this couple, however
there were no markings on the photograph to tell of their first names. Since
you (Mr. Carlin) mentioned that there was an Ella Rosa and an Edward, in New
Braunfels, I am in hopes that perhaps these may be relatives of my
JENKINS/BASSETT line.
The children of my Sarah Elizabeth JENKINS (STANFORD) are as follows: (All
born in or around Erath Co., Limestone Co., Robertson Co., Tx.)
Martha Etta b. June 11, 1877, Noah Bassett, b. Dec. 29, 1879, Zillie Arkadia,
b. June 02, 1882, Effie May, b. Jan. 08, 1917, Ola Mirtest, b. May p6, 1893,
and Ruth Elizabeth, b. Feb. 22, 1901. (Ruth is my Grandmother, and I am her
namesake).
Any help is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Donna R. Massa (LARSEN, LLOYD, STANFORD, THOMAS, BASSETT, JENKINS, PHIFER,
BRATTON, SANDERSON, BOATRIGHT).
