Hi fellow Jenkins,

Once again I am making the plea for any Jenkins with Scots ancestors to come
forth and be identified. Am I the "lonely petunia in the onion patch"?

Since there may be some new Jenkins on the list, here is where I am stuck.

I have a James Jenkins born in Scotland arriving in Philadelphia in 1856.
His wife's name is either Helen or Eelen Sharp/Sharb/Sharf also born in
Scotland.
With them was a son John born around 1848. I have found on the LDS Web Site
in Scotland section a James Jenkins marrying a Helen Sharp in 1848 in
Lanark, Scotland. I don't know if this is my James. This family settled in
the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania and surrounding areas of Southwestern
PA.

In our family records and in the Census we show her name as Ellen. I have
John's death certificate;but, the last letter of his mother's name is
difficult to read. I am not sure who to contact in Scotland for any further
info.

I would appreciate hearing from those of you with Scots Jenkins backgrounds
and any advice anyone can give me re the Scotland search

Marilyn Jenkins Prinzing, the lonely petunia in Illinois.
