Hi list

William Jenkins, age 35, and his wife Lydia A., age 36, are listed on the
1850 census for Carroll County, Missouri. William is listed as a farmer,
born in Ohio and Lydia born in Delaware. They have 4 kids at this time,
Louiza, John, Polly and Barthenia, and by the ages and places of birth, it
appears that the family came to Missouri from Ohio sometime between 1843
and 1847.

By the time the 1860 census was enumerated, they were show in Hurricane
Twp. and Louiza was no longer in the household - would have been 24, so
probably married - and it appears that William & Lydia had another son,
William Jenkins, listed as age 4. That would indicate that he was born in
1855 or 1856. I'm reasonably certain that these two Williams are my great
and great great grandfathers. If anyone reading this is also descended from
them or has any information about them, their ancestors, wives or other
children, I'd sure like to hear from you.
