Quoting from the book...... Jennings, Davidson, and Allied Families by
Lillie Pauline White, 1944, .....I have a John Jennings b. abt. 1617 in
Suffolk, England; d. between Nov. 6, 1685 and Mar 5 1686; will proved at
Court of Sessons, Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, March 15, 1686;
came to Long Island in 1635, age 18; m. Ann _____

Children:

John Jennings of age in 1685 by father's will
William Jennings, Lieut., not of age in1686 by will
Ann Jennings m. ____ James
Johannah Jennings m. Benjamin Haines
Sarah Jennings
Samuel Jennings.

Jumping to another well known Jennings book. The Jennings Family, Vol II
by W.H. Jennings in 1899, we need to note that this book is full of
errors that have tripped up many a Jennings researcher. Noteworthy is
the fact that Benjamin Jennings b. 1716 m. 1. Mary Springer. However, he
did NOT marry Mrs. Mary Tucker in 1759 as a 3rd marriage nor did he die
in 1759. Mrs. Mary Tucker married Jonathan Jennings. His third son was
named David, not Dennis as the handwriting in the will was originally
interpreted.

Due to destroyed and damaged records, we may never be able to totally
document the Jennings Family. Norma
