Sandy's line(s) look a lot like mine in terms of given names; I have a lot of
James, Williams, and Johns in mine, plus a couple of Solomons and a David or
two. Doesn't make the search process easy, guaranteed.

Miles Jennings, B: Abt 1725-30 in, we think, Virginia, first appeared in
Halifax County around the middle of the 1700s. He was married to Susannah
Hanby, daughter of John Hanby, Jr and Susannah Thompson. They lived later in
Henry County and Pittsylvania County.

They had 9 children, including Solomon Jennings, Sr, my line. Miles moved
with his family to help open the Georgia frontier in the late 1700s. They
settled in Wilkes County, Georgia where he received a headright grant of 1500
acres of land.

The other known children of Miles and Susannah are:
Hannah, B: Abt 1763, married George Taylor;
Jonathon, B: Abt 1766, marital status unknown
Annie, B: Abt 1773, married George Hudspeth
Elizabeth, B: Abt 1775, married Martin Crews
William, B: Abt 1776, married Nancy (m.n.u.)
Levi, B: Abt 1778, married Rhoda Harrison
Aletha (Lethia), B: Abt 1780, married William Porter Culbertson, and
Keziah, B: Abt 1788, married (1) Henry Talley Woody, and (2) Lewis J.
Deupree.

As best I can determine, my Jennings remained in the South, most staying in
Georgia with some moving to Alabama about the time of the WBTS and spreading
from there down into Florida.

Would like to make contact with cousins, close or distant. Feel free to
contact me via E-mail so we don't tie up the web site.
