I did a search on the web and found that James Pendleton Shepherd and Rachel
Gault were the parents of John Pendleton Shepherd born 21 Jun 1798 Lee Co.
VA died 10 Jan 1876 Jack Co. MO married Eleanor Boggs (she was also married
to Sol Burton). Enoch Shepherd born 1800 Lee Co. VA died 14 Dec 1859 Jack
Co. MO buried Nodaway Co. MO married 1828 Levina Melham. Other siblings of
John P. were:
