William England Johnson (born Fayetteville, NC 23 August 1826) was the son
of William Johnson and Mary England. He married Louisa Matilda Davis in
Clarke County, AL 10 February 1853. They had one son, William James
Johnson, born 14 June 1854 in Clarke Co. AL, died 31 December 1910. He
married Susan Emma Evans in Clarke Co. AL in 1877.

Children of William James Johnson and Susan Emma Evans, all born in
Alabama:
Hadley Elizabeth Johnson - b. 29 Oct. 1877 -d. 14 June 1892
William Evans Johnson - b. 25 Aug. 1879 - m. Lilian Wily 23 March 1905
Louisa Melissa Johnson - b. 26 Dec. 1881 - m. J.D. McCall - two children,
Willadeen McCall and Johnson McCall, both born before 1926
Joseph Wilcox Johnson - b. 8 October 1884 - m. Eleanor Summers - three
children, William S. Johnson, Joseph W. Johnson, Albert Pike Johnson, all
born before 1926
Albert Sidney Johnson - b. 29 July 1888 - d. July 1970
Archibald Gladstone Johnson - b. 04 Aug. 1893 - m. Virginia Hayes
Susye Emma Johnson - b. 08 Feb. 1897

My information on this family is very sketchy, and there may very well have
been other marriages and additional children born to the children of
William J. Johnson and Susan Evans. I am interested in this family and its
descendants because Louisa Matilda Davis was a sister of my
great-grandfather, William Hite Davis and also because Susan Emma Evans was
the daughter of my great-grandfather, Harriet Elizabeth Grayson by her
first marriage to Lewis G. Evans of Marengo Co. AL
