Searching for any information on my Johnston Family. My:
James W. Johnston b. April, 1843, Ireland, Immigrated to US 1854 about 11
years old. Died Cleveland, Ohio 10 Sept. 1909.
He married: in 1864 Margaret McCuen, b. 1836, Ireland, Immigrated to US 1853
about 17 years old.
James W. Johnston was a Policeman and a Watchman in Cleveland. Their
Children:
1) Amanda Johnston b. 1868 m. George Brake (dau. Nellie Brake) d. 1908.
2) James David Johnston b. 1870 m. Gertrude Isidore Arnold d. 1933
3) Mary Johnston b. 1872. living 1880 census. d. Young.
4) Margaret (AKA Mabel) Johnston b. 1874 m. 1894 Robert Mitcheltree Hilands
d. 1911.

James David Johnston was Owner & Director of "Johnston's Society Orchestra"
of Cleveland, Ohio.

Robert M. Hilands was Deputy Sheriff for the United States Marshall at
Cleveland, was Robert M. Hilands Tobacco Merchant, Cleveland.
