Hiram E. Johnston Succumbs Suddenly

Taken ill suddenly Thursday afternoon, Hiram E. Johnston, age 48, of 253
West Poplar avenue, died at 7 a. m. Friday in White Cross hospital. Cause
of his illness had not been determined Friday.

For about 10 years Mr. Johnston had been employed at the Scott Krauss News
Agency, Inc., as shipping clerk, but had been on a vacation for the past
week and was fishing on Wednesday.

He was a member of Neil Avenue M. E. church and the Men's Council of that
church. Friends may call at the residence from Saturday afternoon until
12:30 p. m. Monday, when the body will lie in state in Neil avenue church
until the funeral at 2 p. m. Burial will be in Union cemetery by the Edward
E. Fisher Co.

Mr. Johnston is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lovina Johnston; brother, Walter
Johnston of Stratford, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Irene Evans of near Granville.

DEATHS FUNERALS

JOHNSTON-Hiram E., 48, late of 253 W. Poplar-av, White Cross Hospital,
Friday morning. Husband of Lovina, brother of Walter and Mrs. Irene Evans.
Body home Saturday noon until Monday noon, when it will be taken to Neil-av
M. E. Church where services will be held at 2 o'clock. Interment Union
Cemetery in charge of the Edward E. Fisher Co.
