I have seen posts about a Jehu Johnston in the Old 96 district of South Carolina in the late 1700s. He was suposedly the ancestor of my Johnstons in Alabama.

Did any of the Johnston males migrate to South Carolina. I have been looking for years for the father of Owen Benjamin Herbert Johnston born in Charleston, SC in 1848. He had a sister born several years earlier. Wife was Margaret and she remarried in 1854 so I assume her first husband (Johnston) died. Have researched this for many years without success.

Hello,
Do you have names/history of the parents of John Johnston b.1800 Ireland
(immigrated to U.S. (PA) 1816)
He married Mary Campbell b. 1803 in 1824.

It is my understanding his siblings (all born in Ireland) are:
William b.1788
Jane b. 1793
Samuel b.1796
James b. 1798
Ann b. 1798
Benjamin b. 1803

Thank you. Sincerely,

Kim Johnston
