I don't know if this could be clue to your Dalton search or not. When I
attended school in Greenwood 1934-47. I had a James Dalton as a s classmate.
He did not join my class until about 1938-39 when his family moved in to the
Greenwood school district. Also I believe that when WW2 came along his
family may have moved ,as did many, to where the defense jobs were.

I also have a connection with the Jones in the Yell and Logan Counties
of Arkansas.

Jones, William b. 1865 mar Caldonia Wiggins b. 1870 AR( Caldonia was the
sister of Grt Grt grandfather who was son of Ransom Wiggins b. 1804 NC)
Luther Leroy Jones b. 1888 AR
William Jones Jr. b. 1892 AR mar Mary E. Furman
Arizona Jones b. 1898 AR mar. Lounemia ?
Jessie Jones b. 1899 AR mar. ?
Ester Jones b. abt 1895 AR died 1933 Keo, Lonoke Cty, AR. Bur. Keo
Cemetery

I have others of the lineage also for later years if you are interested
