Wilmon here's what I think I have on my Josephs:

Zephirin Joseph b. 1850
Susane Joseph (wife) b. 1857
Joe Joseph (my grandfather) b. 1875
*Emma Joseph b. 1868
*Alice Joseph b. 1874
*Louisa Joseph b. 1877

*siblings

I suspect that Zephirin had more children since at the 1880 census he was only 30 years old.

My mother recalls an Aunt Alice so that is why I think Zephirin and Susane are the right ones. Now, I have only to locate death records....

There is also a Zephirin Joseph who married a Marie Nanecy on October 8, 1868. They lived in St. Martin Parish and in 1870 was 22 years old. He is listed as being born in 1847.

My grandfather died May 20 1927 in Orleans Parish
