Hi Michael,
Where is my home? It is about a mile north of where I currently live in Philadelphia. I have always lived in the same neighborhood, even after I got married. My kids went to the same grade school I went to, but they went to different high schools than I did.
The house I inherited was the house I grew up in - it is your typical Philly row, two-story, 3 bedroom, but it is HOME! When my Dad died we offered it to my sister because she was moving back to Philly from Florida, but she did not want it. So I decided that we wanted it.
Over the last few years before my Dad got sick he had a new roof put on, a new powder room and new bathroom. We did a lot of remodeling over the winter including a new kitchen - my Dad became the Microwave Gourmet after my Mom died, so he wasn't interested in a new kitchen. We are hoping to be in the house before October.
