I'm related to some Kahn's from Rayne, Louisiana and am trying to get some more info.

My GGrandfather was Mervine Kahn. He was a merchant, and founded a store bearing his name in Rayne in 1884. He married Camille Shmulen in October 1884, and they had 6 kids: Florence, Hilda, Leo, Herbert, Julian and Sadie (my grandmother).

Always heard the family went back to Alsace-Lorraine.

Any of these names sound familiar?
