Dear Kathy,
Thanks for your response, I'm at such a brick wall on this great grandparent. I do no he was born in 1837 died in 1915. The death date is for sure the birth date I suppose is iffy. He always claimed he was born in Philadelphia but he married my great grandmother in New York in 1873. They had a son and a daughter. The son he named John Lawrence, the daughter Julia Madeline, born in 1880. After that they traveled to California, and had 2 more surviving children, Loretta, and Virginia.
Does any of this fit in? Do any of the names sound famaliar?
