My gg-grandmother was born while the family came west by wagontrain. Her
name was Mary Eldora Damewood, b. May 31, 1860. Her parents were John and
Nancy Damewood. She was born in Indiola, Kansas, a town I cannot find on any
map. Can anyone give any thoughts on how I might find out where this was
located? I realize that I am under the assumption that Indiola is a
town...and not just a settlement.
