Good Morning, I now have more family members (a whole bunch more) for my
RIDDLE family.
One thing I must make clear is that Harry P. RIDDLE was my Father's
step-grandfather. He and
Laura Anna GOODALE LILES RIDDLE raised my father and he loved him very much.
I have most of my information from newspaper articles and a couple of
marriage licenses so I will
scan thru and write what is of interest...I hope to you too!! Thanks, Marie

Billy RIDDLE, of South Market street, was kicked in the face by a horse last
night. The force of the blow rendered him unconscious for nearly an hour.
It took seven stitches to bring the wound together.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur RIDDLE, 402 S. Cottonwood, are the parents of a son born
November 8. The baby's name is Robert Earle.

William Baird RIDDLE is the son of Samuel RIDDLE and was born in Stephenson
County, Illinois and came to Kansas as a child. Mother was Anna BAKER. Two
daughters listed in an article date 1-May-1939 are Barbara and Geraldine
RIDDLE.

Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Violet Riddle, daughter
of Arthur RIDDLE, of Emporia, to Mr. E. C. STONEBRAKER, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Clay STONEBRAKER, 1301 E. The wedding took place Feb. 7, 1939 in Lyndon.

Mrs. Lizzie E. RIDDLE dies
Mrs. Lizzie Ellen RIDDLE died this morn. at 12;20 O'clock at the home of
her son, Samuel RIDDLE.
She had been sick 6 months.
Interment in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Riddle was the former Lizzie Ellen BROWN. She was the daughter of
Mrs. Laura BROWN and the late Edgar BROWN. She was born Oct. 9, 1871, in
Lakeville, Stoddard County, Missouri. She went to Girard in 1875 and came
to Emporia in 1885. She was married to William B. RIDDLE Oct 9 1889. Mr.
Riddle died 30-Oct-1929.
Mrs. Riddle is survived by her mother, Mrs. Laura BROWN; two daughters,
Mrs. Ray HOUSLEY and Mrs. Elizabeth GOODELL, both of Emporia; two sons,
Samuel B. RIDDLE of Emporia, and Harry Pickett RIDDLE of Los Angeles, Ca.;
two sisters, Mrs. Laura DEMIER and Mrs. May SCHUCK, both of Emporia; three
brothers, Charles Brown, of Emporia; John BROWN, Gentry, Ark., and Edgar
BROWN, San Fran., Ca.,
