BOLES / BOWLES, Ann (nee Masterson) B: February 4, 1838 in VA; D: March 8,
1855; M: Rev. Charles Boles / Bowles
Lived in Wilder, Monticello Township, Ks
Died in Arkansas City, Cowley Co., Ks (Creswell Township)
Her death notice was in the Arkansas City Traveler on March 11, 1885. So I
presume that is where she died, as Charles and the children are listed
there in the June 1885 State of Kansas Census. Charles was the Methodist who
was appointed to the Wellington District - Winfield Circuit in 1884;
Wellington District - Arkansas City Circuit in 1885-86.
I would like to locate her place of burial. Charles and Ann Boles are my
great-grandparents.
I am also researching Nancy J. (Bowles/Boles) King born October 18, 1841,
McDonald Co., Mo and died May 17, 1877. She was married to Rev. Joseph
King, October 31, 1861, Wyandotte Co., Ks. I am also looking for her place
of burial.
Joshua C and Ann Alice (Bowles/Boles) Smith lived in Johnson Co., Ks, Oxford
Township. They attended the Bellvue Methodist Church and he belonged to the
Bellvue Grange. They lived in this area from Jan. 6, 1875 till November of
1930. I would like to know where thie Bellvue area was at that time.
I am also researching the surnames, Cone, Warren, Nuckols also of the Oxford
Township area. These people are all related to Rev. Charles Boles. Any info
is appreciated.
Thanks
Carol - Olathe
