If your Alfred Dillon was born in 1915 in Kansas, you should be able to send
for a birth certificate. They started recording them in 1911. That would
give you an idea as to where the family was at that time, and perhaps help
you find more information. Birth certificates would be available for the
other children as well.

I assume on the 1920 census you tried spellings Dillan, Dilon, as well as
the other possibilities.
