Anyone researching the Smith lines or Austin lines, I would love to hear
from you. These two families lived in Labette for many years.

Emily Smith was my g-g-grandmother who had moved from St. Louis, Mo. after
the death of her husband, James Smith. With her were her children. The
oldest daughter Edith Smith b/1862, married Alfred Austin and they had a son
Perry or (Percy) Austin.

Austin, Alfred J b/abt. 1860 England
Austin, Edith b/abt. 1863 Missouri
Austin, Perry b/abt. 1892 Kansas
Children of Emily:
Emily (Walker) Smith b/1832-33 England died in Labette city of
Parsons
Edith Smith b/1862 Missouri
Percy F. Smith b/1865 Missouri
William J. Smith b/1868 Missouri
Ada B. Smith b/1870 Missouri
