The Kansas State Historical Society has virtually every newspaper published in
Kansas (at least I haven't found any missing in my research so far :-). They do not
charge for loaning microfilm through your local library (local libraries may impose
a fee, varies by library).

The link for information on what papers KSHS holds and how to proceed:
http://www.kshs.org/library/news.htm

From the Obituary Daily Times (where you may have found that her obit was published
in the Wichita Eagle):
MIELKEY, Anna May; 88; Arkansas City KS; Wichita Eagle; 2001-12-12; dlcict
which tells us that she died in Arkansas City and the obit was published in the
Wichita Eagle on 12-Dec-2001. So entering placenames/dates into the KSHS link given
above we find:
TitleDatesPublished in CountyStateReel Number
Wichita Eagle12/8/2001--12/15/2001 WichitaSedgwickKSNP 9262
meaning if your local library participates in Inter-Library Loan, you could order
microfilm reel number NP9262 and view/photocopy the obit.

Hope this helps,
Susie
