Hello, Michael. Sorry I am only now replying to your message, but I've changed email addresses. My Kapp surname is not an abbreviation for anything. I have had contact with a Kapp family in Hochdorf-Assenheim, Germany, which is where my line comes from. They were generous enough to send me the ancestry of my line back to the late 1600's. As far as I know, Kapp means just what it sounds like, cap. If I can be of any help, let me know, and you can email me at my private address, instead of the board.
