It's been a while since your post, but I found a family that maybe the one that you are searching for in Cedar, Nebraska 1885

George Kast age 46 born in France
Elizabeth Kast age 39 born in Prussia
Elizabeth Kast age 12 born in NE
Joseph Kast age 9
Christina Kast age 8
Anna Kast age 5
Kate Kast age 3
Mary Kast age 16 (probably months)

A couple of family trees have George's wife listed as Elizabeth Ru(h)land.

Mary appears to have been born in NE and went to SD before the birth of the last to children on the 1930 census.

I hope this will assist you.

I have a Kast family, but they are not related to this one.
