I have kavanagh/byrne ties in my family. My great- great grandfather was Dudley kavanagh mar. Mary Byrne approx. 1834. Had a sone James b. 1840, also had daughter Margaret b. 1839. Dudley emigrated to the U.S. in 1859 with 6 children from Liverpool aboard the Monarch of the Sea, arrived in New York March of 1859. All of the children eventually lived in Ct. mostly New Haven and Waterbury, three of the daughters of Morgan Kavanagh my great grandfather became nuns with the Sisters of Mercy. Maybe our families are tied together. I also have found a Peter Byrnes, wife Anna in Waterbury, Ct.
