Peter, I find the relationship of all the names to be fascinating. we know
nothing of our Patricks parents other than his mother was Ellen and his
father died on the ship. they did come over about that same time but to
Canada.
As to the Brennan's, my husbands fathers family came over in the 1890's I
think, They might have some from Sligo? not sure why I think that. I am not
at home right now so cannot check on that right now.
YOu Gemmel name is also in our family. My cousin is married to Ian Gemmell
in Kingston Ontario. His family came from Ayr.
Never know the connections you can find.
