There are a number of Adams names in both the Eastern and Western
Cherokee Rolls according to Bob Blankenship. Most are in the early
1900s in the Guion Miller, and Baker Rolls. I did not find any Kemp
names. Depending on the area you are talking about your Lydia could be
Shawnee. In the early days there were a number of tribes in Virginia
that are now extinct or whose remnants are included in the Lumbee tribe
of North Carolina.
