Looking under Origin of Surnames on the Internet, I found that The name
Keever is all so a English name. So is it possible that the statement in
Patience Northern's note be true? (So - someone else in NC wrote about the
McKeevers and McIvors who came
to NC refused to sign allegiance to the state and was forced to leave
NC. The reason for the spelling? Or for the German background to
cover?)
Did our Peter Keever come to Indiana from Pennsylvania. Could it be that is
where that we get that he was from Wales?
