Hello!

With much regret and sadness I would like to let the research community know
of the passing of Mrs. Hazel Kelly Lennon of Lumberton, NC.

Hazel Kelly Lennon, age 83 years, passed away on the morning of Thursday,
June 10th, 2004 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie Lennon Rigsbee, son-in-law, Danny
Rigsbee, two grandsons Daniel Todd Rigsbee and Kale Lennon Rigsbee of
Lumberton; a brother, Eugene Kelly of Bladenboro; and sister Edith Kelly
Hedgpeth of Bladenboro.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hoyt Lennon, and a daughter Mary Beth
Lennon.

The family will receive friends and relatives tonight from 7:00-9:00pm at
Floyd Mortuary and Cematory on East Fifth Street in Lumberton, and at other
times at the home of her daughter at 4111 Vann Drive, Lumberton.

The funeral will be conducted at 4:00pm Saturday at the Lennon's Cross Roads
Baptist Church in the Lennon's Cross Roads Community of northwestern
Columbus County, the Reverend Malcolm Bullock officiating, and burial to
follow immediately in the Kelly Cemetery, a short distance away in Bladen
County.

Hazel Kelly Lennon was well known as being a leading researcher of the
Ashley, Floyd, Kelly, Lennon and Mercer families of Bladen, Columbus and
Robeson Counties, as well as a host of other families of southwestern Bladen
County, and northwestern Columbus County. She was also member and historian
of the Lennon's Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Danny, Todd & Kale Rigsbee.
