Hi Karin and Anne,
You wouldn't believe Greenwich was ever part of Kent if you could see it now -
it is very firmly rooted in the metropolis! The church of St Alphege still
stands, right in front of an incredibly busy road, and just up the road from
some of the busiest tourist attractions in South East London - the Cutty Sark
tea cutter, the National Maritime Museum, the Queen's House, Greenwich Park, the
Royal Observatory, etc., etc.
Hope this helps to put it in perspective.
