My grandfather joined the C.E.F. and went to England and France during WW1 at the age
of 46. Upon looking at his papers it was found that he lied and said he was 38.
When he was disbanded in 1916, it is mentioned that he was too old and was given
discharge. I don't know for sure whether he was found out or gave out.
