Hello Friends,
Such wonderful news and such an emotional week! After hearing nothing since
the Portsmouth News article on 8th April, I had a message on Monday that a
lady had contacted the Portsmouth council who recognised my photos, they
were on display in her family home. She is my mother's cousin, is only 4
years older than me and remembers my brother and me as little children, then
lost track of us when we came to Australia. We had a lovely talk, there are
50 years to catch up on! Unfortunately she doesn't have a computer, so I
guess my phone bill will be high.
Thank you so much for all the help that has been given me , now I have
someone to discus our family history with.The Hawkins family that I have
been tracing is the right one, so all the info. is now out of storage.I am
so excited and it's all thanks to you wonderful people!
