My husband is a Kent from Louisiana. We can only trace back two generations
because his father's parents weren't married and come from a very small town
in St. James Parish, LA where records were not maintained.

Seeking information on:

Walter Kent born circa 1923, STB location - Moonshine, St. James Parish, LA.
Walter had two brothers (one was named Nick). Both parents deserted the
family when Walter was a boy and a neighbor raised the boys.

Walter Kent and Vidella "Vi" Dennis grew up in Moonshine together and
produced one son - Roosevelt (NMI) Kent. Walter soon left the area and was
never in contact with Vi or Roosevelt again. Walter later married and had
10 more children. We've traced him to the New Orleans area but he had
already died and none of his children know the name of his parents nor where
he was actually born.

Any potential leads and / or assistance would be greatly appreciated!
