Hi John,
Unfortunately I don't have much. Walter Kent had two brothers, one was
named Nick. I don't have a birth certificate nor a death certificate so I'm
at a loss about where to turn next. I'll save this e-mail and when I turn
up any evidence that points me in another direction I'll be sure to pass it
along to you. Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Maura K.

Maura, thank you for your message. I only have two Walter Kent names in my
database. One is from Texas and the other is from N. Louisiana. Both were
born about the time of the Civil war if I remember correctly. There were
some Kents from the Kentwood, La. area that are not related to my Kents.
This is the Amos Kent family. He and his brother Frederick, who was killed
in the Civil War, came to La. about 1840 from N.H.
Over in Iberville Parish I note that there is a Walter Kent 1865-1874 shown
in the Rosedale cemetary. This appears to be a child who died young.
Let me have a list of some of the given names coming forward. Sometimes
these can point the way.
John Kent
