Hello All,
I am researching my DAVIS ancestors who are somehow connected to JEFFERSON DAVIS CSA. Looking for information on JOHN SLEET DAVIS who was born in 1807 in Scott Co. KY. He married Margaret Parsons DENNY in 1830 in Washington IN. Later migrated to Platte Co. MO. John's Father was JAMES DAVIS who was born around 1776 possibly in VA. He was married to NANCY HAWKINS in 1797 in Lincoln Co. KY. His Father was Ephriam Davis who was killed in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse in the Rev. War. Does anyone have any information on these names?
