I was hoping someone could help me. How do you go about finding the
mother's maiden name of your ancestor. I of course can not get her
birth or marriage certificate because I do not know her maiden name. I
have not been able to locate her obit because they have moved around
and do not know where she ended up. I really could use some help on
which way to go.
I have a James Martin born abt 1775 Va married a Elizabeth ? born 1785
KY . Had a son James born 1820 KY and Richard born 1822 KY plus a few
other children but do not know if they were all born in KY.
I have eventually found the parents and James and Richard in the
Livingston Co MO 1850 Census but do not know if they stayed there or
continued on eventually. Thanks for all your help.
