I am still trying to find info on my gr grandfather Smith Turner b. approx
Dec 1824 or 25 in Ky. His parents according some records were b. in Va. I
had checked out most of the ones that records are readily available on. I
was given some information that Reuben Turner who married Orena Tatum had a
brother named Smith as well as two sisters named Elizabeth and Mary. Their
parents were Richard and Sally (Lucy) Hamm Turner. There is a listing in
the 1830 census for Russell county for a Reuben and Smith Turner. Any
information anyone might have on this particular Smith would be welcome. My
gr grandfather would not have been old enough to be listed as a head of
household in 1830 so the Smith on the census may be his father
