Their address was listed as Glencolm in Graignamanagh. Graignamanagh is easy to
find. Where are Glencolm and Gowran? <
Beth,
Gowran is a very nice small town, about 7 miles NW of Graigue. It should be
on most maps. It's next to the N 9 coming south from Carlow town to
Thomastown. The moderately-sized townland of Glencoum is about 3 miles WNW of
Graiguenamanagh.

Canvassing Glencoum should be a snap. There is one complex of about four
buildings in the western part of the townland and, other than that, there are
only 4 (perhaps 5) other houses in the townland - as of 1995. And all are pretty
much along one minor road and a long driveway. I'd recommend you get
Discovery map 68 before you leave, or buy it at the Tourist Bureau shop at the
airport when you arrive (as long as they're not "out of stock").
