Still researching John Cunningham. Just found his wife was Margaret Whalan, according to his son's (William) birth cert.
However after Margaret died, in Birkenhead, the 1871 census showed he was living with a family called Whelan.
Is it likely to be his wife's family with different spelling, or pronouciation. OR are they 2 totally different names.
William Whelan (head of family) came from Kings County, Clara?
Any ideas.
