I'm new to this list and to Kilian family research. What is the difference
between the German Kilians and the Celtic Kilians? Are there Kilians who
know they come directly from Ireland?

When I was in Ireland I had a hard time finding any Kilians. I was told it
was often a first name but many people I talked to never had heard of anyone
named Kilian. (My husband is the Kilian, I am of Irish descent and know my
connections to Ireland).
