Subject: [Kimmel] Kimmel Miller questions

L A Holley of the Stephenson County IL list sent me some quotations from
Christian Family Companion for June 1872, which started me asking questions.
Apparently page 30 of that issue makes reference to the editor attending
Brethren Love Feast at West Branch where visiting ministers included Paul
Wetzel of Lena, D M Miller, Michael Kimmel and Jacob Hauger of Dutchtown.

On Page 44: "Others from Somerset County (PA) settled in this locality
(Dutchtown/Milledgeville) among whom were three ministers and their families:
Martin Meyers (1863), brother of Henry Myers; MICHAEL KIMMEL and DANIEL M.
MILLER, his brother-in-law (1864)..."

While I find several Miller/Kimmel combinations amongst the Brethren in my
computer, I'm not sure I've fixed on the right one. I've got Mary Miller
d/o John Miller & Anna Wenger married to John Michael Kimmel jr, s/o my own
John Michael Kimmel and Esther Flory. But the Millers are a harder family
to follow, and I don't know if the Daniel M Miller is the same as the Daniel
Miller I've got for my husband's family.

But if this is the correct couple, then (a) this Michael Kimmel who is a
Brethren minister is the brother of David Kimmel, a Brethren minister, my gg
grandfather and (b) this may be the most recent and closest tie-in I've found
for my husband's family and mine. (Brethren genealogists work from a
fairly small gene pool.)

Does anybody know of these folks?
