Sue,
I certainly realize that the same family names permeate the various
Kincaid branches. But I think you have shown in your records that "all"
of the families that possibly connect to Andrew's children (except Slone
& Caldwell), lived in proximity to one another in this Middle River
area, including the Ramseys who may be Andrew's wife's family. I don't
believe all these families taken together all connect to another Kincaid
line.

In regard to the purchase of land in Middle River by an Andrew Kincaid,
I also realize our Andrew was already in Greenbrier County, but that
does not rule out that he could have purchased land in Middle River
too. Do you have something to indicate which Andrew specifically
purchased that land in 1788? As other listers have pointed out, land
grants were sometimes used for pure speculation. I would certainly not
rule any of the possibilities out until we explore the family groups
further. As I said before, I think this area shows promise. Gail
