As stated I haven't got much more info than that
posted but thought I would share....
"Records disclose the will of John Kincaid which was
probated Aug. 2, 1772, naming his wife Elizabeth and
their children Andrew, Thomas, and Elizabeth.
Elizabeth married John Waugh. He left a large estate,
including many slaves."
Records also provide info about the will of George
Kincaid, Aug. 30, 1790, naming his wife Jean, sons
Andrew, John and Matthew, Daughter Mary and Nephews
Archibald and Andrew.
George Kincaid moved to Augusta Co. about 1750 and was
killed by Indians in 1756.
There is on record in Woolford Co. the will of John
Kincaid dated July 20, 1817 naming his wife Margaret
and sons Joseph, John, Archibald, who married Anne
Quarles, James, Thomas and William and a daughter
Jane, the wife of _____Davis, then deceased and a
grandson Preston W. Daivs.
William Matthew, James, John, Thomas and Andrew are
among the names common in all three families.
The first census of Kentucky in 1790 provided the
following info concerning Kincaid residents: 2 Johns
lived in Fayette Co in 1789, Andrew, Hobson, David,
and three Johns lived in Fayette Co. in 1792. David
lived in Bourbon Co. in 1791 and Samuel lived in
Nelson co. in 1792. Legislative petitions in
Greenbrier Co. Va in 1780 listed the following
Kincaids, John, thomas, Samuel and John Jr. The
petition included Andrew and William Kincaid. The
Alexandria Co. Tax list for 1800 includes a JOhn
Kincaid.
During the Rev. war Battle of Blue lick on Aug. 19,
1782 (typo), James Kincaid escaped and Capt. Joseph
Kincaid was killed . Capt. Kincaid was the son of
Joseph Kincaid who settled near Danville. William
Baird, who married the latters sister laid out
Bardstown or Bairdstown as it was first called.

Just some info that I thought might help someone out
there.....Until later...Jeff Bergman
