Hi Peter
Well I have done it!!!! Gone East my friend. I photographed every coat of
arms on the ceiling of the great hall. Not one Kincaid but maybe their arms
were different before they defended the castle. According to the guide book
it is onl rumoured that they are the governers / constables of the castle. I
also photographed the list of governers and there is no Kincaid amongst
them. Earlof Mentieth though. I will send you the photos if you give me your
home address.I will scan some and send you them sometime today. I took
pictures in groups as there were so many. My thoughts are that when they
painted the crests they matched them to names on the list.

I saw the crown jewels etc. Never been to see them before!!!!!!!!!!!!.
It was a lovely cold day. Typical Edinburgh. Only disappointment was no
Kincaids
